Let's have a party featuring food prepared from exotic spices obtained along the Spice Route! Spices were brought from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and India, carried across Arabia and the Middle East, infiltrating these regional cuisines and ending up flavoring the dishes of Europe during the Age of Discovery.

Dishes with these spices include flavoring by cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, coriander, lemongrass, turmeric, cumin, star anise, and chile. These spices are featured in dishes from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and southern India.
