If you haven't had dim sum before, it's an experience you should try at least once. The experience is somewhat like a meal of tapas. You order a bunch of little dishes and snack your way through. Dishes can be sweet or savory. Arrive with an empty stomach!

The best way to try dim sum is with a large group! The more people, the more variety of dishes. :-) CCK is currently run by the former proprietor of Ocean's Palace, so this restaurant has a good reputation.

Notes:

Dim sum is NOT eating-restriction friendly. There is lots of sweets, lots of seafood, and lots of pork.

Also, arriving a bit early helps when trying to get a large table.

Please call my cell at [masked] if you need to change your RSVP at the last minute. It's much harder to deal with a restaurant if the head count fluctuates a lot.

I tried a place a bit north of Albany, which was reasonably tasty, but not quite what I was looking for. We'll cross our fingers about this place. Then maybe I could stop my pilgrimages to Chinatown . . . Large groups are good for dim sum. Much more to sample!

I've been looking for dim sum in Albany ever since I moved back here (9 months ago). If this is anything like the real thing, jump on it. I liked the previous restaurant these guys ran (Ocean Palace) and I expect I'll find something to like in the new location.

    •  It was great. Great and interesting variations of dim sum and Asian style cuisine. Seemed like a great deal for the amount of people that came. Great group, hope we all can meet up again soon.
    •  I enjoyed the food and it was cheap, although I am not 100% sure we really ordered everything we got. The service was not fast but I was in no hurry. This event is worth repeating.
