Fellow Foodies,
I have had a lot of fun organizing Gourmet Meetup events over the last six months. We have learned about tea, mushrooms, hiking and picnic foods, oils and whole grains. I have received a lot of positive feedback from members.
Our meetup has not had a meeting in the last two months because I have been unable to get a local gourmet store interested in giving us a 'tour' of their facility this summer. I have contacted several business, including a wine shop, spice shop, gourmet shop and an Asian grocery, none have expressed interest in setting a date for a future meeting.
I am looking for a fellow foodie with some great ideas for potential tours to take over the administration of the Gourmet Group. I am burnt out trying to find us places to tour, but think the idea of a group dedicated to learning about new foods and supporting small businesses like gourmet shops is a good one for our community.
