Introduction

I enjoy cooking and I do not know a lot of other people who do so this group offers a wonderful opportunity for like-minded people to meet. I love traditional home cooking and I am very interested in food history.

Tell us a ltiile about yourself and your interest in traditional foods.

I grew up on a farm. We had a smokehouse and my mother had a garden. So I have come to view traditional food, with recipes passed down from generation to generation, as an inheritance, a connection to my distant roots.

What is your favorite traditional cuisine?

Southern cuisine

What kind of entertaining do you like to do?

I like all kinds of entertaining -- from pot luck to creating a a nice sit-down dinner.
